Marsha Thompson, a trainee solicitor at martin searle solicitors in Brighton, is celebrating this week having qualified as a solicitor after completing her training contract and becoming the latest permanent member of the firm’s expanding employment law team.
Marsha, 28, who joined the firm on a training contract in 2007, says: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my training with martin searle solicitors, gaining valuable and essential skills which will stand me in good stead for my future career. I’m delighted to be offered a position as a fully qualified member of the employment law team and I’m looking forward to taking on new cases.”
Fiona Martin, a director of the firm and head of the employment law division, says: “It’s been great seeing how Marsha’s skills and confidence have grown in the last 18 months. Marsha has a great rapport with clients and is a great team player. We had 450 applications for her position and we have no doubt that we made the right choice. I have every confidence that Marsha will continue to make an important contribution to our employment law department.”
Marsha previously worked as a personal injury and clinical negligence paralegal at McMillan Williams Solicitors in London. Marsha took her Legal Practice exams at the London College of Law in 2004 after studying a degree in Law and French at London Guildhall University. She also spent a year in France studying at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and speaks fluent French.
