HR Matters – Brighton – 27th November 2014
HR Matters is a bi monthly HR Forum for business owners, HR Managers, Directors and employees responsible for personnel issues, who work in any sector.
I jointly coordinate HR Matters with Jane Schofield, who is HR Manager at Varndean College and Heidi Rush, owner of HR Smart.
HR Matters got off to a fantastic start when we had our first meeting in September at The Manor. More than 20 people attended and I presented on recent employment law changes including an introduction to Shared Parental Leave which is due to be introduced in April 2015.
It was a lively meeting and we asked all participants to tell us what they wanted to know about. We have now organised a series of speakers to talk on requested topics. Unfortunately, if you are intending to come to the next one, TUPE was a hot topic!
November’s meeting will cover:
- The latest TUPE news from Matthew Grant of martin searle solicitors.
- How your organisation can survive the Christmas season – a session run by Heidi.
We hope to see you at The Manor in Brighton on Thursday 27 November with a later time of 9:15 till 11:15 for those who need to drop their children off at school.
We are not currently asking for subscriptions. You just need to buy your own breakfast.
