Thank You For Celebrating Our 10th Anniversary
A Big Thanks to all of those who joined us to celebrate our 10th year in business and to raise money for the CAB. Also a big thank you to all the local businesses and individuals who donated fantastic raffle prizes which include Steve Antram of Antrams who donated Terre`a Terre vouchers, Infinity Foods, Badger Clothing, North Laine Hair Company, Ten Green Bottles, Sussex County Cricket Club and Butler’s Wine Cellar.
We managed to have a humdinger of a night whilst also raising £880 for Brighton and Hove Citizen Advice Bureau. For photos of the evening, see our Facebook page.
Henry Butler of Butler Wines was a brilliant raconteur as he delivered an “extreme” wine tasting extravaganza with more than 60 people taking part. Getting everyone to be quiet in between drinks was quiet a feat.
Mariana Harlotta, diva and soprano extraordinaire gave us a fabulous rendition of the ‘Psycho Killer’ by Talking Heads and ‘Beat it’ by Michael Jackson. It had to be heard to be believed.
The New York Dollies looked gorgeous in their 50’s outfits and performed our favourite new wave songs with great panache. And Chris T-T headlined with a stirring performance delivering beautifully crafted songs.
George of Makemedia won the holiday in the Algarve and seemed to be a remarkably popular man for the rest of the evening. He really did Get Lucky as he won a bottle of champagne as well!
Mr Butler’s generous tasting portions and the fact that the extreme heat caused most of us to resort to pints of beer meant that the stick it on session became a school disco. We all strutted our stuff whilst fighting for a position in front of the one fan in the room.
A “hot” evening was had by all!
