Intro
I am an Employment Law solicitor based at our Brighton office.
Expertise
I advise employees on their rights when offered a Settlement Agreement and work hard to achieve a fair compensation payment. I also advise veterans of the Armed Forces on Employment Law issues.
Qualifications
I was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 2014, I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, and have now been admitted as a solicitor in February 2025.
Following a politics degree at Aberystwyth University, I passed the commissioning course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and served in the British Army for ten years. I returned to university to complete my LLB at the University of London and my Legal Practice Course at the University of Law.
I also completed a masters in Humans Rights Theory and Practice at the University of Essex (International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law), and achieved a Distinction for my thesis as part of an advanced masters in Law at Birkbeck, which focused on Employment Law and risks in the workplace. I studied veteran’s mental health at King’s College London.
Other experience
I have acted as a Legal advisor in the headquarters of the British Army with a focus on Service Complaints (grievances within the UK Armed Forces) and Employment Law. I have led workplace investigations into allegations of bullying, harassment and discrimination for the Royal Navy.
In my civilian Legal career, I have managed Legal Risk and Legal Operations for a global banking group, as well as managing Insurance and Legal claims in the Security industry.
I am a member of the Employment Lawyer’s Association, the Society of Labour Lawyers, and the International Society for Military Law and the Law of War.
I have a life too
I volunteer in the Family courts as a Presiding Justice. I continue to be involved with supporting the Armed Forces community and veterans.
