We are running a Q&A session in association with Community Works. The session will be led by Fiona Martin, Director and Head of Employment Law.
We are in the last phase of the furlough scheme which now allows furloughed employees to work part-time work for their employer. Employers are also expected to contribute financially to make up the grant. Planning is key to weathering the economic impact of coronavirus when the grant is no longer available and employers may be looking into amending staff hours, pay and/or duties or even restructuring or redundancy.
The session will cover:
- Relevant updates to the furlough scheme
- Part-time working and decrease in the furlough grant
- How to change employee terms and conditions post-flexible furlough scheme
- The distinction between restructure and redundancy and how to carry out a fair process, including the legal requirements
Participants will be asked to submit questions in advance during registration so we can make sure your questions and issues are covered on the day. There will not be a presentation, it will be a Q&A format.
This session will run via Zoom; participants will be sent a link after registration.
