Restructuring and Changing Contractual Terms

Laura Donnelly, Associate Employment Solicitor, presents an introduction to Restructuring and Changing Contractual Terms. This session will provide practical legal advice on restructuring staff teams, changing staff contacts, amending staff hours and duties and how to fairly make redundancies. This session is run in partnership with Community Works and is aimed at charities and non-profit organisations.

This session will include:

• The legal definition of redundancy
• Following a fair redundancy process
• Alternatives to redundancy
• Changing contractual terms
• Terminating employment and offering re-engagement on new terms

Attendees will leave with a detailed introduction on best practice for employers when changing contractual terms or making redundancies.
