Martin Searle Solicitors continue to be ranked as a “Leading Firm” in the 2027 Legal 500 Rankings
We are delighted to once again be ranked as a “Leading Firm” in the 2027 Legal 500 rankings.
Our Employment Law team are ranked for the 13th year running, and this year have moved up to Tier 1, the highest tier. The Legal 500 acknowledge their “notable emphasis on advising both employers and employees on workplace disputes” and note our team’s “strong reputation for handling discrimination, unfair dismissal, and Settlement Agreement matters alongside Employment Tribunal litigation”.
Fiona Martin is named as a Leading Partner and is described as a “key name for contentious matters, bringing experience in defending discrimination claims in the workplace”. Meanwhile, Laura Donnelly is ranked as a Leading Associate, and the write-up notes her “successful record in achieving significant increases to Settlement offers”.
They also acknowledge our track record on campaigning and working with our community, highlighting our “commitment to equality and workplace rights” and how our team “regularly leads awareness campaigns and provides training on employment law developments”.
Our Court of Protection and Community Care law team also continue to be ranked as a ‘Leading Firm’, with the Legal 500 noting their expertise around “complex matters pertaining to specialist community care issues and Court of Protection matters”. They highlight our work with professional clients – ten years after winning the Law Society Excellence Award for our Services for Professional Deputies, we now work with over 150 private client, deputy, and personal injury litigation teams.
Cate Searle is ranked as a Leading Partner, and they note Cate’s areas of expertise including “assisting with sensitive matters regarding care costs for vulnerable individuals, various health and social care issues, and complex Court of Protection cases”. Paula Jones is also praised, described as a “key name in the team”, and they acknowledge her “noteworthy experience in adult social care, particularly in cases regarding mental capacity”.
We are delighted that our campaigning work and expertise has been recognised in what has been a key year for our firm. Earlier in 2026 we were shortlisted for two Legal 500 ESG awards for Disability & Neurodiversity and Women In Law, and were also shortlisted for the Brighton and Hove Business Awards in the Professional Services category.
We are also about to launch our Employee Ownership Trust this year, which will involve greater decision making and participation for all staff in all aspects of running our firm. The fact this comes at a time when Legal 500 has promoted us to Tier 1 is recognition of all the great results our team have achieved in 2026.
